Our Team
Maria - owner
Welcome to our preschool! My name is Maria, and I am a passionate Montessori educator dedicated to helping children achieve their full potential.
Over the years, I have opened and managed six early childhood centres, each with the goal of fostering a nurturing, stimulating environment where children can thrive. I am excited to bring my knowledge and passion for education and care to the Takapuna community. Making a meaningful difference in a child’s life and supporting families through their early learning journey is at the heart of everything I do.
At our centre, we seamlessly blend the strong foundation of Montessori education with the latest research and best practices in early childhood development. This integrated approach ensures that children benefit from both the timeless principles of Montessori and the most current advancements in education.
I am committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive space where children feel valued, supported, and encouraged to explore their world. Together with our dedicated team, I look forward to building strong connections with the families in our community and helping each child discover the joy of learning.
pratima - manager
Kia ora everyone,
My name is Pratima, and I am excited to embark on this learning journey alongside you. My Montessori journey started a couple of decades ago when my own children started a Montessori preschool. Enthused by this beautiful philosophy, I decided to pursue my Diploma in Montessori education.
I came to New Zealand in 2014, along with my husband and two daughters. Since then, it has been my pleasure to work in many reputed Montessori schools, which has helped me to grow as a teacher.
For the past few years, I have been managing a small Montessori centre, which was owned by Maria and Peter. I am passionate about Montessori education and inquiry-based learning. My personal philosophy is ‘follow the child’, as children are intrinsically motivated, and they will succeed when their learning activities incorporate movement and opportunities for independence.
